The first practical, cost efficient system to purify indoor air and add the soothing beauty of tropical plants to any setting. The Clean Air Plant System is simple and easy to operate, and uses nature's own natural cleansing methods to purify the air. The result will be clean air that is virtually free of the potentially harmful indoor air pollutants found in many modern homes and offices.
Scientific Tests By The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA)The John Stennis Space Center discovered that commonly used house and office plants seem to have the ability to remove a large number of frequently encountered indoor air pollutants from a closed space, effectively cleaning the air. This research was originally designed to help NASA scientists eliminate pollutants inside the closed environment of a space craft. Like so many of NASA's research projects, this one has implications for both NASA and the general public.
We developed "The Clean Air Plant System" (CAPS) utilizing the findings of those NASA projects. Our system helps eliminate the low levels of pollutants now known to be present in energy efficent buildings and homes. The NASA research demonstrates that the interaction between the plant roots and the micro-organisms ("mikeys") that live in the soil media break down any pollutants that they come in contact wih. They actually eat the pollutants.
How The Clean Air Plant System Works:Our system incorporates a specially designed charcoal filter and a healthy foliage plant into a standard 14" grow pot. With TLC and growing time at our nursery the CAPS is ready for you to use.
When you receive it, just place it in a decorator pot, plug it in, and it's working. It's that easy.
The filtration system is designed
to draw room air down through the soil, trapping dust and pollutants.
It passes through the charcoal filter and is exhausted back into
the room as cleaned air.
The air passing through the soil and charcoal gives the "mikeys" time to break down the pollutants into harmless components. The result is clean, fresh air coming back into the room.
The "mikeys" are alive and are constantly eating the pollutants, guaranteeing that the system never gets saturated with harmful chemicals.
The live plant insures that the filter never has to be replaced.
When operated 24 hours per day (the recommended amount), our testing has shown that our system will change the air in the average 10 x 10 room approximately 10 times. That is more than adequate to give you good indoor air quality. The cost of electricity to run the fan is less than one dollar per month and the fan life is at least 4 years. We are sure that you will enjoy not only the natural beauty of having a plant in your room, but will also enjoy a cleaner indoor environment to live in.For more information contact your local Interiorscaper or Horticultural Specialist.
