Allamanda Cathartica

Allamanda Cathartica is a tropical, tender perennial usually grown as an annual or container plant. It’s rapid growth rate and medium texture can push this vine to a height of 6-8′. Allamanda loves lots of sun where it climbs and sprawls; in fact the tropical landscape vine can be a wonderful back drop to a pool landscape but needs to be tied as it is quasi-twining. The flower is bright yellow flowers garnishing this beauty with color throughout the summer to fall. The Allamanda needs moisture but good drainage; throw out at end of growing season or cut back and over winter as a container plant indoors (needs bright light).
